Veteran defensive back out of Nashville, who provided tremendous leadership in his five seasons … Can play nickel, corner or safety and was one of the nation’s top defensive backs in his final season … Played in 56 games and made 24 starts ... Tallied 190 career tackles, 12 tackles for loss, three interceptions (one pick-six) and 20 passes defended … Member of the team’s leadership council … Graduated from Tennessee in December 2021.
2021 – SENIOR (FIFTH YEAR)
Enjoyed the best season of his career and was the leader of the defense … Selected by the SEC coaches to the All-SEC Second Team … Started 12 games at the STAR position … Did not play against South Carolina (10/9) due to injury … Finished the year with 78 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 12 pass breakups and one interception (returned for a TD) … Ranked second in the SEC and tied for 14th in the FBS in pass breakups … Tied for the SEC lead in tackles for loss among defensive backs … Played his final game in his hometown at the Music City Bowl and notched five tackles and one pass breakup … Shined in his final game in Neyland Stadium with a 55-yard pick-six on the fifth play from scrimmage against Vanderbilt (11/27) … Added four tackles, a TFL, a pass breakup and two QB hurries in home finale ... 2020 – SENIOR
Played in all 10 games and made six starts at UT’s STAR secondary position … Started the final five games of the year and the Missouri contest …Totaled 31 tackles, one tackle for loss, three passes defended, one interception and one fumble recovery on the year ... Had six tackles and a pass breakup in season finale vs. No. 5 Texas A&M (12/19) ... Made five tackles and had a PBU vs. No. 6 Florida (12/5) ... Collected four tackles in start at #23 Auburn (11/21) ... Recorded a season-high 10 tackles, including one tackle for loss at Arkansas (11/7) ... Recovered his first career fumble vs. No. 2 Alabama (10/24) ... Started in win over Missouri (10/3) and finished the game with three tackles and a key fourth-quarter interception.
2019 – JUNIOR
Ranked fourth on the team with 53 tackles ... Added one interception, one tackle for loss and two pass breakups ... Appeared in 12 games with five starts at safety ... Finished with three tackles versus Vanderbilt (11/30) and had a pair of stops at Kentucky (11/9) and Missouri (11/23) ... Made three tackles versus South Carolina (10/26) ...
