- Graduated from Orange Coast (Calif.) College in Costa Mesa, California, in December of 2003; was coached at OCC by Mike Taylor.
- Rated by Rivals.com and TheInsiders.com as the No. 1 junior college defensive tackle prospect in country.
- Played only two full games as a sophomore in 2003 after suffering a broken ankle; he logged 16 total tackles, including 6.5 for lost yardage and 3.5 sacks in those two games.
- Tallied 73 tackles during his freshman year in 2002, including seven for loss and seven sacks.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Graduated from Kealakehe High School in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, where he was coached by Joe Nahale.
- Earned first-team All-State honors as a senior in 2001 while playing defensive end and fullback.
