Parker Serrano
- Title:
- Student Assistant Coach
Parker Serrano was designated as Tennessee’s Student Assistant Coach prior to the start of the 2024 season and is a key contributor to the daily operations of the Volunteers’ baseball program.
Serrano was UT’s first-base coach during their 2024 national championship season and works closely with the catchers, assisting with player development, defensive preparation and game planning, among other duties.
Serrano’s responsibilities extend well beyond the field, as he assists with daily practices, creates and manages video review for coaches and players, develops scouting reports, supports on-campus recruiting efforts and helps manage Tennessee’s baseball camps.
Serrano grew up in Knoxville and was immersed in the program from a young age, serving as a bat boy during his childhood while his father, Dave Serrano, was the head coach for the Vols.
Serrano starred at West High School before spending two seasons at Roane State Community College (2021–22), where he played junior college baseball and served as a team captain as a sophomore.
Serrano is working towards completing his bachelor’s degree in sport management while transitioning into coaching.
