2013 - JUNIOR
Played in 32 games as a junior, starting 25 (23 at catcher, two at designated hitter). Finished with a team leading 15 extra base hits (10 doubles, two triples, and three home runs).
Hit .321 over 81 at-bats, driving in 17 runs.
He threw out 24.1% of base runners (7-for-29).
Recorded a career high two stolen bases in a 7-6 win at Alabama on March 16.
Crushed home runs against Missouri (March 23), South Carolina (April 5), and at Florida (April 28).
2012 - SOPHOMORE
Played in 45 games as a sophomore, starting 35 at catcher. Finished second on the squad with four home runs, including a team-high three in SEC play.
Hit .188 over 112 at-bats, recording 13 RBIs.
Blasted home runs against ULM (March 9), Alabama (March 30), Vanderbilt (May 4) and at Ole Miss (May 12).
Posted his first career two-double game against Ball State on March 7.
Threw out 28 percent of potential basestealers (9-of-32).
Played for the Laconia Muskrats of the New England Collegiate League over the summer, hitting .313 with five longballs and 18 RBIs in 18 games.
2011 - FRESHMAN
Played in 40 games as a freshman, starting 36 (29 at catcher, eight at designated hitter). Led the Vols with seven home runs on the season, including four in a three-game span (March 12-15).
Hit .262 over 126 at-bats, driving in 25 runs and slugging at a .492 clip, good for second on the squad behind only 20th round pick Matt Duffy.
Launched longballs in each of the final two games of UT[apos]s four-game set against Manhattan before his first career two-home run game came against Alabama A&M to cap off that impressive run.
Also hit home runs at Vanderbilt (April 30), at MTSU (May 11) and in the season finale against Auburn (May 20).
Threw out six potential basestealers from behind the plate.
Spent his summer playing for the Asheboro Copperheads in the Coastal Plains League.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Farragut High School in Knoxville where he was coached by Matt Buckner. Was named a 2010 Louisville Slugger High School All American, Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year and TBCA Class AAA Player of the Year.
Helped lead the Admirals to a 42-6 record and their third straight state title. Set a state single-season record with 27 home runs.
Hit .420 with 73 RBIs and scored 57 runs.
Also set the national record for home runs in consecutive games, belting 16 during a 10-game stretch in April.
Finished the 2010 campaign with an astounding 1.050 slugging percentage and a .536 on-base percentage.
As a junior, he hit .360 with 39 RBIs and 11 home runs en route to Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association First Team All-Region honors.
Maintained a 3.80 weighted GPA in the classroom.
