2012 - JUNIOR
• Earned a win in his Tennessee debut, firing two shutout innings in a 6-4 victory over UMass on March 2.2012 - JUNIOR
• Redshirted in his first year at Tennessee after suffering a knee injury early in the season.• Pitched in 11 games for the Hamilton Joes in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, striking out 25 in 21.1 innings.
JUNIOR COLLEGE
• Spent the last two seasons at Gordon College where he was coached by Travis McClanahan.• As a sophomore in 2011, helped the Highlanders to a 32-22 record and second-place finish in the regular season.
• Posted a 1-3 record on the mound with a 7.40 ERA in 20.2 innings and had 21 strikeouts.
• Went 4-4 on the mound as a freshman with a 5.04 ERA and 51 punchouts in 55.1 innings as the Highlanders went on to a 41-23 record and a Region XVII championship.
• Was named to the 2010 Region XVII All-Tournament team.
HIGH SCHOOL
• Graduated from John Milledge Academy in Milledgeville, Ga., where he was coached by Gary Sanders.• Was named the 2009 Baldwin County Player of the Year and earned the 2009 Golden Arm Award, 2009 Rawlings All American and Southeast Region All-High School Senior Honorable Mention, 2008 Best Hitter, all-region (2007-2009) and all-state (2009) honors and was tabbed a 2009 Under Armour Preseason All-American.
• Led the Trojans to their third straight Region 4-AAA Championship as a senior in 2009, hitting .494 with 38 RBIs and nine home runs and pitching his way to a 7-1 record with a 1.85 ERA and 120 strikeouts.
• Also lettered in football, basketball and track.
