Qua Moss Named to Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee senior defensive back and return specialist Qua Moss was named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll on Tuesday following his standout performance in the Vols' 20-17 home loss to top-ranked Texas.
Moss was a force on defense and special teams against the Longhorns, recording five total tackles, including four solo stops, and one pass defended.
Moss also provided a spark in the return game, fielding three punts, including a 57-yard touchdown return in the third quarter. He caught the punt in Tennessee territory, avoided several Texas defenders and sprinted up the sideline for the score, tying the game at 10-10.
Through four games this season, Moss has recorded 16 total tackles, including two tackles for loss. He has also returned seven punts for 95 yards, averaging 13.6 yards per return, which ranks fourth in the SEC.
The Paul Hornung Award, presented annually by the Louisville Sports Commission, recognizes the most versatile player in college football. The honor roll recognizes players who demonstrate excellence in multiple facets of the game.
