Track Central: Pepsi Florida Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – More than 40 Tennessee track & field athletes are set to open their 2026 outdoor campaigns this weekend as the Vols and Lady Vols travel to Gainesville, Florida, for the Pepsi Florida Relays. Competition runs all day Friday and Saturday at the University of Florida's Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium.
UT opens the meet Friday afternoon with Cedricka Williams competing in the invitational women's discus at 2 p.m. Day one concludes at approximately 7:25 p.m. with Lady Vol rookie standout Mary Nyaboke Ogwoka in the women's invitational 1,500-meter run.
On Saturday, the South African duo of Aron Alvarez Aranda and Wesley Badenhorst will begin proceedings with the men's invitational discus at 11 a.m. The meet will wrap up at 6:30 p.m. with the men's 4x400-meter relay.
Forty-six Tennessee athletes are scheduled to compete in 24 events over the course of the 2026 Pepsi Florida Relays. The full meet schedule and additional information can be found at FloridaGators.com, while live results will be available throughout the meet via PrimeTime Timing.
BIG ORANGE DEBUTS: Five Tennessee newcomers will see their first official action at Florida this week, according to the most recent entry list.
UP NEXT: The Vols and Lady Vols return to Knoxville next week for their annual home meet at Tom Black Track. The 2026 Tennessee Invite is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 10-11.
