The Lady Vols feature 13 total qualifiers, including swimmers and divers. Last season, Tennessee placed fifth overall, marking its first time in program history that the Lady Vols had consecutive top five finishes at NCAAs, and their eighth-straight top ten finish.
Based on seeding heading into the championship meet, the Lady Vols are projected to nine individuals reach championship finals. In total, 12 different swimmers are projected to score and three are projected to do so in multiple events. Four of UT's five relays are also projected to finish in the top eight.
Tennessee ranks third nationally in both the 200 Medley Relay (1:32.80) and 400 Medley Relay (3:24.58) after winning the gold medal in both events at last month's SEC Championships. The Big Orange ranks seventh in Division I in the 200 Free Relay (1:26.27), while checking in eighth in the 400 Free Relay (3:09.03).
Junior Camille Spink and sophomore Ella Jansen are projected to score in all three of their individual events at NCAAs. Spink has the top time nationally in the 50 Free with a time of 20.87. Spink also ranks fourth in the country in the 100 Free (46.01) and eighth in the 200 Free (1:41.71). Spink swept all three events at the SEC Championships for the second consecutive year last month, while winning her third straight titles in the 50 and 100 Free. Jansen ranks in the top five in multiple events, sitting fourth in the country in the 500 Free (4:34.10) and fifth in the 400 IM (4:01.97). Jansen is just outside the top five in the 200 Fly, entering the week sixth with a time of 1:52.08.
