#11 Lady Vols Set for Road Battles at #3 Auburn, #23 Florida

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 11 University of Tennessee women's tennis team (8-2, 4-1) is set to continue the 2026 dual slate this weekend with two ranked road matchups. The Lady Vols will first hit the road to face the No. 3 Auburn Tigers (21-1, 4-0) in a Thursday afternoon matchup before heading south to meet the No. 23 Florida Gators (8-3, 2-2) on Saturday. Thursday's first serve is set for 4 p.m. ET, while Saturday's match will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET.
Tennessee is coming off a weekend in which it split two home matches. It fell, 3-4, Friday night against the now-No. 10 Oklahoma Sooners before taking a win, 4-0, over the now-No. 49 Arkansas Razorbacks on Sunday afternoon.
No. 20 Leyla Britez Risso picked up two singles wins on the weekend to improve to 12-0 in singles in 2026, including a 9-0 mark in dual play. Her teammate, freshman Katrina Scott, picked up the first ranked win of her collegiate career in Sunday's match, downing No. 23 Carolina Gomez Alonso, 6-0, 6-3.

The No. 3 Auburn Tigers enter Thursday's matchup on an eight-match win streak, which features wins over No. 7 LSU, No. 10 Oklahoma and No. 23 Florida. The Tigers' one loss came on Feb. 9, as they dropped a 4-3 decision to No. 1 Georgia in the ITA National Team Indoor Championship Semifinals. Six Tigers have earned singles rankings – No. 27 Ashton Bowers, No. 31 Ava Esposito, No. 33 DJ Bennett, No. 50 Ekaterina Khayrutdinova, No. 91 Angella Okutoyi and No. 119 Alice Battesti – as have four doubles pairings, headlined by No. 14 Esposito/Bennett which is undefeated this dual season.

The Gators currently sport a 2-2 record in conference play, with wins against each of the Lady Vols last two opponents, Arkansas and now-No. 10 Oklahoma. The Gators' two setbacks came at the hands of the Auburn Tigers and No. 7 LSU. The Gators, like the Tigers, are led by six ranked singles entries in No. 26 Gabia Paskauskas, No. 72 Nikola Daubnerova, No. 76 Valery Gynina, No. 84 Emily Seibold, No. 88 Lucie Pawlak and No. 103 India Houghton.
