Lady Vols Through Two Rounds at NCAA Championships

CARLSBAD, Calif. - The Tennessee women's golf team is tied for 13th place through two rounds at the NCAA Championships at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa's Champions Course.
Tennessee played in the afternoon wave in round two and posted a 9-over showing. The Lady Vols are tied with SEC and in-state foe Vanderbilt at 12-over overall.
Following Sunday's third round of stroke play, the field will be cut in half to 15 teams.
After a tough start in round one, junior Manassanan Chotikabhukkana carded an even-par 72 in the second round to give UT its lowest round on Saturday. Chotikabhukkana went even on both sides of the course and enters round three tied for 53rd.
Kyra Van Kan, Sofie Engeseth and Martina Lopez-Lanchares each rounded out UT's counting scores on Friday after shooting a trio of 75s.
Van Kan is tied for 53rd while Engeseth is in 80th and Lopez-Lanchares is tied for 117th.
Despite not contributing a counting round on Saturday, senior Bailey Davis is tied for 20th and sits as the highest Lady Vol on the leaderboard after two rounds and is even-par overall ahead of the third round.
