Rowing Central: #5 Tennessee Hosts Inaugural Rocky Top Invite

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – The fifth-ranked Tennessee rowing team is primed to host the inaugural Rocky Top Invite, running Friday-Saturday, April 4-5, at Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge.

Eleven heat races will take place Friday, beginning at 3:40 p.m. ET, with 11 finals set to be raced Saturday morning, starting at 9 a.m. Following Saturday's competition, Tennessee will honor its 2025 senior class with a ceremony on the shoreline.

The five teams joining the Lady Vols in East Tennessee are No. 14 Duke, No. 17 UCF, No. 20 North Carolina, Clemson and Minnesota.

The regatta is free for all fans and the shoreline along the lake offers plenty of prime viewership areas to watch the races. Parking and quick access to the shoreline can be found at the Oak Ridge Rowing Association (697 Melton Lake Dr, Oak Ridge, TN 37830).
