The Lady Vols boast 13 qualifiers—all swimmers. Last year, the Lady Vols took fourth at NCAAs, marking the second-best finish in program history and placing inside the top 10 for the seventh straight meet.
Based on the seeding heading into the championships, the Lady Vols are projected to have 14 championship final finishes by seven different individuals. In total, nine different individuals are projected to score, including eight in multiple events. All five UT relays are also projected to finish inside the top eight.
Tennessee ranks second nationally in the 800 free relay after winning gold in the event at SECs with a time of 6:49.83. The Big Orange is third in the country in the 400 free relay (3:09.02) and the 400 medley relay (3:25.18). The Lady Vols check in at sixth in the 200 medley relay thanks to a 1:34.27 effort and seventh in the 200 free relay (1:26.49).
Sophomore Camille Spink, senior Josephine Fuller and freshman Ella Jansen each project to score in all three of their individual events. Spink enters the week ranked third in both the 50 free (21.23) and 100 free (46.25) and fifth in the 200 free (1:42.06). She swept all three events at SECs last month to win a share of the Commissioner's Trophy for highest point scorer.
Fuller is also projected to make the championship final in all three of her events, being seeded fourth in the 100 back (50.05) and 200 IM (1:52.86) and sixth in the 200 back (1:50.14). Check out the full breakdown of Tennessee's 13 qualifiers.
