Greene, Stone Earn NCAA-Qualifying Marks on Platform

AUBURN, Ala. – After punching their tickets on both springboards already, freshman Bennett Greene and junior Nick Stone qualified for platform at NCAAs during day three of the Zone B Diving Championships.

Greene capped off his impressive week by notching the 10th-best score in program history on tower, notching a score of 362.50 during finals to clinch a top-12 finish. The list began with four straight 60-point dives and lifted him to a 713.00 combined score.

Stone finished eighth overall with a combined effort of 701.85. Throughout both rounds, he eclipsed 60 points on five of his dives, including a pair of 65-plus-point attempts during finals. This marks the third straight year Stone qualified for NCAAs in all three events.

In the women's 3-meter event, Lynae Shorter posted a career-best effort during prelims, notching a 316.15 mark to advance to finals. Unfortunately, she fell short of a qualifying spot (top seven), taking 11th overall with a combined score of 616.40.
