Tennessee Spirit Primed for Nationals
January 16, 2020 | Cheer, Dance & Mascots
ORLANDO, Fla. -- After countless hours of practice and months of preparation, the Tennessee Spirit program is ready to return to the mat for the College Cheerleading and Dance National Championships at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Â
The Volunteers are looking to build off a solid performance at last year's national competition, where Tennessee was one of only two programs in the nation to have its cheer, dance and mascot teams all place in the top five in Division 1A.Â
Â
Last year, costumed Smokey finished fifth nationally in the mascot Division 1A Finals, Tennessee dance finished second in Division 1A Game Day Finals and Tennessee cheer finished second in Game Day Finals.
Â
The championships begin on Friday, Jan. 17, and continue through Sunday, Jan. 20.
Â
Performance times can be found here.
