KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Ariana Macioce, a rising junior transfer from Phoenix, Arizona, has signed an institutional aid agreement and plans to enroll at Tennessee this fall, as announced by Head Coach Judi Pavon on Thursday.
"We are excited to have Ariana join our team this fall," said Pavon. "She has had a very good career so far and we expect her to help us right away."
Macioce carded three top-eight finishes this spring for the Georgia Southern Eagles, including a second place finish at the Texas State Invitational in mid-February. In her next tournament of the month, Macioce shot a final round 68 to set a GSU program record and place eighth. She capped off a busy February with her second eighth place finish of the season at the Kiawah Island Classic.
Macioce totaled five top-10 finishes, including two top-five, and seven top-20 finishes over her two years with the Eagles.
In 2016, she was named a WGCA All-American Scholar and selected to the 2015-16 Sun Belt Commissioner's List.
She was ranked as the No. 33 golfer in the 2015 class by Junior Golf Scoreboard and boasts eight wins in Junior Golf Association of Arizona tournaments.
