POSTGAME NOTES
THE SERIES
- This marked the 51st meeting between the two programs. The Lady Vols have a 48-3 record vs. Florida.
- UT has now won the last 11 encounters with the Gators.
- Tennessee moves to 19-2 vs. the Gators on their home court.
- UT has won 17 straight games vs. SEC opponents.
- The Lady Vols are now 5-3 when trailing at the half.
- At 20-3, the Lady Vols have won 20 or more games in a season for the 39th consecutive campaign, dating to 1976-77.
FOR STARTERS
- Today's starters: Bashaara Graves, Cierra Burdick, Isabelle Harrison, Andraya Carter, Jordan Reynolds.
- Graves and Reynolds are the only two that have started every game this season.
- This is the 12th straight game that the Lady Vols have used this line-up. They are now 12-1 with the group.
- The jump ball was controlled by Tennessee for the 17th time this season.
- The first points were scored by Isabelle Harrison with a lay-up.
OFF THE BENCH
- Ariel Massengale was the first Lady Vol off the bench coming in for Jordan Reynolds.
- Jaime Nared and Nia Moore were the next players in to relieve Isabelle Harrison and Cierra Burdick.
- Alexa Middleton entered the game with 8:29 left in the first half.
- Kortney Dunbar entered the game with 1:16 left in regulation.
DEFENSE LIMITS GATORS
- The Gators did not score their first points until there was 16:30 left in the first half.
- The Lady Vols forced 21 turnovers. Tennessee players were responsible for 11 steals.
- Andraya Carter stole a personal SEC-high five balls from Florida. She led all players in steals. Jordan Reynolds had three to follow for a combined eight steals.
- Cierra Burdick grabbed a team-high eight defensive rebounds. Twenty-seven of the Lady Vols' 45 rebounds were on the defensive end.
OFFENSIVELY SPEAKING
- Isabelle Harrison scored the first 11 points of the game for the Lady Vols. She ended as UT's leading scorer with 17 points in 17 minutes despite having four fouls. She led for the seventh time this season.
- To start the second half, the Lady Vols did not score until 16:21 left in regulation. Reynolds hit a three point shot.
- Jordan Reynolds was the second leading scorer with 13 points. Ten of her points were scored in the second half. She racked up two rebounds, two steals and an assist.
- Jaime Nared stepped it up for Tennessee earning a personal SEC-high 10 points. She is 16-for-19 in free throw shooting during SEC play. She added seven rebounds.
- Ariel Massengale dished out two assists to bring her career total to 481. She is eyeing the 500/1000 club. She needs just 19 more assists and nine points to be just the third player to do so.
- Free throw attempts made a difference for UT. The Lady Vols scored 17 points from the charity stripe compared to nine points by Florida. Cierra Burdick (4-for-4) was perfect from the line.
- The Lady Vols went on their 24th run of 10-0 or more during the second half. Tennessee went on a 11-0 run over 3:26 to regain the lead over the Gators.
AT THE HALF
- The Lady Vols trailed the Gators by two at the half, 30-28.
- Tennessee shot 35.5 percent (11-31) while the Gators shot 36.7 percent (11-30).
- The Lady Vols out-rebounded Florida 23-18 and were ahead in points in the paint, 14-12.
- Isabelle Harrison led all scorers with 11 points. She also co-led with Cierra Burdick for most rebounds with six.
UP NEXT
- The Lady Vols will remain on the road for midweek action at Ole Miss on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. on SEC Network+.
