Tennessee rowing will travel to Orlando, Fla. to kickoff the spring racing season with sets of exhibition races with Michigan and UCF over a two-day span.
All exhibition races are set to begin at 8 AM on Lake Pickett both Saturday and Sunday. For directions to Lake Pickett, click here.
The Lady Vols had a strong and successful fall season bringing home 19 medals from three regattas, the Chattanooga Head Race, the Secret City Head Race and the Head of the Hooch.
This will be the second year in a row Tennessee has began its spring season with exhibition races against Michigan and Central Florida in Orlando. Although no times were recorded, the Lady Vols had a strong showing against the Knights and the Wolverines in 2014, winning 14 out of 15 pieces in fours during the exhibition workout.
To close out the 2013-14 season, the Big Orange was narrowly edged by Oklahoma at the Conference USA Championship. Tennessee's second varsity eight brought home the gold medal in the grand final.

This will be the first race of the spring season for the Knights of Central Florida.
In 2014, the UCF rowing team finished second at the inaugural American Athletic Conference Rowing Championship on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J.

This race will be the first race of the spring season for the Wolverines of Michigan.
Michigan finished fifth at the Head of the Charles during fall racing in the Varsity Eight.
The Wolverines ended their 2013-14 campaign with an eighth place team finish at the 2014 NCAA Championships, finishing fifth in the varsity eight, seventh in the second varsity eight and eight in the varsity eight.

Tennessee will break from racing for one week before it stays close to home to take part in its second of three scheduled exhibition races, racing against North Carolina on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge.
