THE BASICS
• Tennessee won the first meeting between the Vols and Owls, 81-62, before 12,309 at Thompson-Boling Arena.
• The win ended the Vols' three-game losing streak, all of which came away from Knoxville.
• The game was the first at the friendly confines of Thompson-Boling Arena since Nov. 24, a span 22 days. Tennessee only played three games (two in Brooklyn and one at Butler) over that stretch.
• Tennessee has now won 15 consecutive home games vs. non-conference foes, dating to December 2013.
• The Vols have won 17 of their last 18 December home games, dating to 2011.
• Overall, UT is 5-0 at home this season.
FOR STARTERS
• Tennessee's starting lineup on Saturday consisted of Admiral Schofield, Kevin Punter, Armani Moore, Derek Reese and Devon Baulkman for the second game in a row.
AT THE HALF
• Tennessee led 36-27 at halftime, led by Moore's 13 points in the first 20 minutes. Punter addd nine points in the opening stanza.
• The Vols limited Florida Atlantic to 32.1 percent from the floor on 9-of-28 shooting.
• Tennessee shot 45.2 percent and outrebounded the Owls, 24-15, with three players grabbing five boards (Punter, Ray Kasongo and Reese).
PUNTER'S STREAK OF 20-POINT GAMES
• With 24 points on Wednesday, Kevin Punter has scored 20 or more points in seven of Tennessee's nine games this season. He has scored 20 or more in each of UT's last six games.
• Punter is the first Vol since Chris Lofton (in the 2006-07 season) to score 20-plus points in six consecutive games. Lofton tallied 20-plus from Nov. 27, 2006 through Dec. 23, 2006, finishing with 35 points against Texas -- coached by Rick Barnes.
• He scored 15 of his points during the Vols' decisive 18-2 run in the second half vs. FAU.
• Over those last six games, Punter is averaging 24.7 points and 4.0 assists over those five games while shooting 52.2 percent (48-of-92) in that stretch.
• He is shooting 81.3 percent (39-of-48) from the free-throw line over the last five games.
SHUTOUT START
• Florida Atlantic did not score for the game's first 4:45 as the Vols built an 8-0 lead. Solomon Poole ended the drought for the Owls, as they had missed their first five shots of the game.
DOUBLE-FIGURES
• Three Vols scored in double-figures,Punter scored 24 points, his eighth time in nine games this season in double-figures.
• Moore's 16, marked his seventh game this season with 10-plus points.
• Baulkman chipped in with 11 points, his fifth game in double-figures this season, equalling his entire junior year total.
KASANGO KA-BOOM
• Sophomore Ray Kasongo scored a Tennessee-high five points and surpassed his previous high of four points in the first half. He entered the game with eight total points in seven games.
• He also grabbed a career-high six rebounds. He had eight all season in his first seven games entering the game.
WOODSON, CAMPBELL MAKE DEBUTS
• With less than three minutes elapsed in the second half, freshman guard Brad Woodson, a Murfreesboro native, made his debut for the Vols. The Riverdale High School product played seven minutes and handed out his first career assist and grabbed his first rebounds.
• Fellow walk-on Lucas Campbell also made his Tennessee debut playing the final 49.5 seconds.
BLOCK PARTY
• Tennessee had eight blocked shots, marking the sixth time in nine games the under-sized Volunteers had six blocks or more in a game this season. Kyle Alexander led the Vols with three rejections.
• The Vols entered the game ranked 19th in the NCAA in blocked shots per game with 5.9
LARGEST LEAD
• Tennessee led by as much as 21 points.
• The Vols took a 20-point lead thanks to a 16-1 run midway through the second half.
