Chelsea Blaase Press Conference (11.18.15)

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Director Track & Field and Cross Country Beth Alford-Sullivan and senior All-American Chelsea Blaase spoke to reporters at a press conference on Wednesday at the Ray and Lucy Hand Digital Studio to discuss Blaase's preparations for the upcoming 2015 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
Blaase won the 2015 NCAA Cross Country South Regional Women's 6K on Nov. 13 to punch her second ticket to the NCAA Cross Country National Championships, which will be held on Nov. 21 at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. Blaase finished 10th at the 2014 NCAA Cross Country National Championships to earn All-America honors. She was also a 2015 NCAA Indoor Track All-American (5,000 meters) and a 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track All-American (10,000 meters).
She joined Brenda Webb (1977 AIAW Region 2 champion) and Sharon Dickie (2000 NCAA South Regional champion) as only women in UT history to qualify for nationals as a regional champ.
