With the win, Team Orange claimed the best-of-five series against Team White, 3-1. Weather permitting, the Vols will face off in Game 5 of the Orange and White World Series on Sunday, Nov. 1, slated for 12:30 p.m. ET.
On the mound, the Vols saw impressive starts by sophomore Zach Warren for Team Orange and Team White's redshirt sophomore righty Eric Freeman.
Each team was scoreless until the fifth inning, when Team Orange's freshman designated hitter Sean Skelly ripped a two-out, RBI single to put his squad up, 1-0. Team White battled to put runners on base, but the Orange used steady pitching and defense to hold their lead and secure the win.
