First UT basket: The Vols' first four points came on free throws by Armani Moore. Devon Baulkman hit a 3-pointer, good for the Vols' first basket at 15:06.

The Vols are now 12-6 overall, 4-2 in SEC play.
Texas A&M is 13-5, 4-2 in the SEC.
Tennessee is now 8-2 at Thompson-Boling Arena, the only losses coming today and against Alabama 56-38 on Jan. 10.

PUNTER LONG-RANGE LEADER

Junior Kevin Punter drained 5 of 7 3-pointers -- making his first five -- to finish with 17 points.
The five 3-pointers was a career high. His previous high was four against Tennessee State (12/27/14).
Punter has made at least 3 3-pointers in a game three times this season.
He has led the Vols in scoring in three of the first six SEC games.

REBOUNDING NOTES

Texas A&M outrebounded Tennessee 34-27 during the game. Three Aggies had more than 5 rebounds: Jalen Jones (9), Kortney Roberson (7) and Alex Caruso (6).
Derek Reese led the Vols again in rebounding, finishing with 6. He has had more that five rebounds in the first six SEC games. He had only averaged 3.0 rebounds per game during non-conference play.
Reese also had a career-best four assists. It is the first time in his career he has led the Vols in assists.

DOUBLE DIGITS & PERCENTAGES

The Vols improved shooting in the second half, making 14 of 28 shots from the field (50 percent) to finish with 20 of 52 (38.5) for the game.
Texas A&M shot 48.1 percent for the game (25 of 52), the fourth-highest shooting percentage the Vols have allowed this season and the highest in SEC play.
Three starters for the Vols finished with more than 10 points: Punter (17), Richardson (12) and Hubbs (12).
