FOR STARTERS

DOUBLE DIGITS
- Four Vols finished with at least 10 points: Josh Richardson (17), Armani Moore (14) Kevin Punter (12) and Devon Baulkman (10).
- Richardson has scored at least 15 points in seven of eight games this season.
- Moore and Punter have scored at least 10 points four times.
- It was a career high for Baulkman. His previous best was five points.
THREE POINTER TOTALS
- The Vols were a very efficient 10 of 18 from 3-point range.
- Tennessee's previous season high for 3-pointers as a team was 7 vs. Texas Southern on Nov. 20. Tennessee show 7 of 16 (.438).
- Detrick Mostella led the Vols with three 3-pointers, the third time in eight games the freshman has made at least three 3-pointers.
- Kevin Punter and Derek Reese had wo 3-pointers each.
- NC State ended the night shooting 11 of 26 from 3-point range, tying for the most 3-pointers allowed by the Vols this season. VCU shot 11 of 29 (.379) in the season opener.
- Ralston Turner made 8 of 17 shots from 3-point range to lead the Wolfpack. He led all scorers with 33 points, the most points the Vols have allowed an opponent this year.
LONG-DISTANCE FIRST HALF
- Perimeter shooting played a large roll in both Tennessee and NC State's totals in the first half.
- The Vols made their first four 3-pointers of the game and finished the half 5 of 8 (62.5 percent). Tennessee was 11 of 27 overall from the floor (40.7 percent)
- Kevin Punter, fresh off his career-best 18-point performance against Butler, scored a team-leading 10 points in the first half. He made both 3-pointers he attempted in the opening minutes.
- Armani Moore made his first 3-pointer of the year after missing his first six attempts in the season.
- Ralston Turner did most of the 3-point shooting for the Wolfpack, going 5 of 9 by himself and finishing with 17 points in the half.
- NC State shot 6 of 14 from the 3-point arc in the half and were 12 of 24 overall from the floor.
- NC State led 39-27 at halftime, benefitting from shooting 9 of 10 from the free throw line.
SECOND-HALF RUN
- Tennessee went on a 13-1 to cut NC State's lead to 56-51 with 8:19 left in the half.
- Derek Reese and Detrick Mostella both provided 3-pointers during the run.
- During that time, Tennessee shot 3 for 3 and the Wolfpack was 0 for 6.
UP NEXT: TENNESSEE TECH
- The Vols host Tennessee Tech Friday, Dec. 19, at at 7 p.m. ET (FOX Sports Net).
- The Golden Eagles (5-4) are in their fourth year under head coach Steve Payne. Tech posted a 17-16 (9-7 OVC) record last season.
- 6-10, 225-pound junior forward Charles Jackson averages a double-double this season with 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game (both team-bests).
- Tennessee Tech has already beaten a pair of in-state foes in Chattanooga and Lipscomb this season.
- The Volunteers lead the all-time series with Tennessee Tech 21-1, dating to 1939. The Big Orange have won each of the last five meetings.
