Freshman Faith Johnson was named to the USA Swimming National Junior Team, the swimming governing body announced.
A native of High Point, N.C., Johnson was among the nation's best in her class in the sprint freestyles. She swam the 50-meter freestyle in 25.75 seconds at the Olympic Trials in July to earn the USA Swimming honor.
Johnson finished her high school career as a six-time All-American and a 14-time all-state selection. She competed with the club STAR Aquatics.
Last week, senior Kelsey Floyd was named to the USA Swimming National Team and was added to the American contingent for the 2013 World University Games. Tennessee head coach Matt Kredich and associate coach Tyler Fenwick were also honored.
