Mansson Heads To LPGA Qualifying School

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Former Lady Vol golfer Nathalie Mansson is one of 240 golfers headed to Daytona Beach, Fla., for LPGA Tour Qualifying School Stage I.
The Stage I Tournament runs Sept. 4-7 at LPGA International Golf Course, where the field will be cut to the low 70 players and ties after 36 holes.
The first-stage qualifier is open to 2012 Futures Tour members with lower exemption statuses and not ranked in the top 120 on the tour's money list or inside the top 300 in the women's world rankings. It is also open to amateurs or professionals ranked outside the top 300 in the world rankings.
A minimum of the top 30 players plus ties from Stage I advance to the Stage II qualifier. Stage II Tournament will be held Oct. 9-12 in Venice, Fla. The top 70 plus ties in the second stage advance to the final stage.
The Stockholm, Sweden, native is no stranger to high-level competition, having played in the quarterfinals of the Ladies British Amateur Championship and European Ladies Team Championship, as well as the NCAA Championships.
