HALL OF AN EFFORT
- Kenny Hall keyed the comeback win over ETSU with a huge second half. He posted eight points, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal in the second period with most of it coming in the final minutes.
- Hall scored in double-figures for the fourth time this season and ninth in his career with 11 points.
- He also finished with eight rebounds, the third time this season he had at least eight boards.
McBEEEEE FOR THREEEEE
- Skylar McBee nailed 4-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc on his way to 12 points. McBee scored in double-figures for the third time this season and sixth time in his career.
CAM, CAM, SCORE, SCORE
- Cameron Tatum knocked down 3-of-5 3-pointers as part of 13 points in the game.
- Tatum scored in double-figures for the seventh time this season and 40th time in his career.
GOLDEN IN DOUBLE-FIGS
- After a scoreless first half, Trae Golden scored all 11 of his points in the second half for his first game in double-figures in four contests. He had scored 10 or more in the first seven games of the season.
- Golden now has eight career games, all this season with double-figure points.
PERFECT FREE THROWS IN SECOND HALF
- The Vols were a perfect 9-of-9 from the foul line in the second half and in crunch down down the stretch. They were just 1-of-4 in the first half.
CHARGE!
- Jeronne Maymon drew his team-best fourth charge of the season in the first half. The Vols took four charges in their last game and now have 13 for the season.
BENCH SCORING
- Tennessee outscored ETSU, 18-7 in bench points, a +11 margin. That effort was aided by McBee's 12 points.
NOTING THE SERIES
- Tennessee are now 13-2 all-time against ETSU, winning the last seven games in a row in the series. ETSU won both of its games in Knoxville in 1989 and 1991.
- The Vols are 20-5 against teams from the current make-up of the Atlantic Sun.
DOMINATING THE VOLUNTEER STATE
- The flagship school of the UT system is now 31-8 (79.5) against teams from the state of Tennessee dating to 2005-06 with wins over every in-state foe other than Tennessee State (which the Vols have not played).
LOCALS IN ACTION
- Despite both schools' geographic location, the Tennessee and ETSU rosters combine to feature just five players from the East Tennessee region: UT's Galen Campbell, Brandon Lopez and Skylar McBee and ETSU's Todd Halvorsen (Kingsport) and Lester Wilson (Knoxville).
