NASHVILLE - Tennessee fans can welcome the Vols to the 2010 Franklin American Mortgage Music Bowl in style here Thursday with a pregame Vol Walk beginning at 3:15 p.m. Central time.
The Vols are scheduled to arrive at LP Field on the stadium's south side, near 2nd Street, in advance of the 5:30 p.m. kickoff against North Carolina. Thursday's game is sold out and being televised nationally by ESPN, with the Vol Network providing radio coverage.
"This is our fourth different stadium in the state of Tennessee and we're hoping there is a lot of orange there," head coach Derek Dooley said. "The Music City Bowl has just been phenomenal and the hospitality has been great. It's been a little more special that we are in Nashville, so our players are seeing a lot of Vol fans everywhere and that's a nice thing to see at a bowl site."
The Vol Network's "Kickoff Call-In Show" begins at 4 p.m., and UT fans are invited to join the broadcast location between parking lots K and R. Local affiliate 104.5 The Zone is hosting the pregame party and The Zone's coverage from LP Field begins at 11 a.m. There will be face-painting and the station is giving away 5,000 Orange and White shakers.
