The Week 13 highlights from former Tennessee players in the NFL include the continued strong play of Peyton Manning and a big defensive effort from Jason Allen. Below are the best performances from former Vols during the weekend???s action.
?????Peyton Manning played well for the second consecutive week after hitting a midseason lull. Manning connected on 20 of 29 passes for 288 yards and four touchdowns in the Colts??? 28-25 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. In his last two games, Manning has completed 69 percent of his passes and thrown for 560 yards and seven touchdowns.
?????On the losing end of the Colts-Jaguars game was defensive tackle John Henderson, who posted seven tackles for Jacksonville. Henderson has 30 tackles, a sack and three passes defensed in 11 starts this season.
?????Though the Dolphins remain winless, defensive back Jason Allen is playing well. He posted a career-high nine tackles in Miami???s 40-13 loss to the Jets. Allen has come on of late, making 22 stops in his last three games after registering only 13 tackles in his first nine games.
?????Travis Henry returned from an injury on Sunday and got right back into the swing of things. He carried only 15 times for 49 yards, but two of those carries went for touchdowns in the Broncos??? 34-20 loss to the Raiders. Henry has 629 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in just eight games this season.??
