The Week 15 highlights from former Tennessee players in the NFL include another record-setting day for Jason Witten and a big play from Kelley Washington. Below are the best performances from former Vols during the weekend???s action.
?????Jamal Lewis overcame the snowy weather and the Bills defense, rushing for 163 yards on 33 carries in Cleveland???s 8-0 win over Buffalo on Sunday. Lewis has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark (1,084) for the sixth time in his career and averages 4.3 yards per rush, which is his best per-carry average since the 2004 season.
?????Jason Witten caught eight passes for 113 yards in Dallas 10-6 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. Witten now has a career-high 88 catches for a career-high 1,068 yards with at least three games remaining for the Cowboys. This is his first season reaching 1,000 yards receiving in his career. Witten also now holds the franchise records for career receptions by a tight end (340) and career receiving yards by a tight end (3,906).
?????John Henderson posted five tackles and a sack in Jacksonville???s 29-22 win over the Steelers on Sunday. Henderson???s numbers are down in his sixth season on the defensive line for the Jaguars, but his presence is still showing up in the team statistics. Jacksonville is fifth in the league in rush defense, allowing 94.4 yards per game.
?????Kelley Washington blocked a punt in the second quarter of New England???s 20-10 win over the Jets. The block was converted into the winning score two plays later, giving the Patriots a 17-7 lead that they never relinquished.?? Washington has not caught a pass this season, but he does have 15 special teams tackles for the undefeated Patriots.
