Tennessee sophomore guard Chris Lofton was named the Southeastern Conference's Co-Player of the Week along with Kentucky's Rajon Rondo after leading the Volunteers to a 95-78 win at sixth-ranked Texas.
Lofton led all scorers with 21 points on 5-of-9 shooting from 3-point range. He displayed unlimited range against the Longhorns, making one of his 3s from El Paso on the logo at mid court of the Erwin Center.
The win ended Texas' 33-game home winning streak against non-conference teams.
For the season, the Maysville, Ky., native is averaging 17.8 points per game to go along with 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
