Noting Tennessee
- Tennessee finishes the season 5-6 (3-5 SEC), and Kentucky finishes the year 3-8 (2-6 SEC).
- The Vols entered the game unranked. The Wildcats were not ranked.
- UT is now 77-7 (.917) during the month of November since 1985 and is 33-3 on the road during that span.
- Tennessee leads the series 69-23-9 dating to 1893.
- Kentucky's last win in the series came in 1984 when it beat Tennessee 17-12 in Knoxville.
- Kentucky's last win at home was in 1981 when it beat Tennessee 21-10.
- Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer's record is now 128-36 (.780) in 14 seasons with the Vols.
- Fulmer is 13-0 against the Wildcats.
- Freshman TB Arian Foster had 26 carries for 114 yards.
- Foster has rushed for more than 100 yards in each of his first five starts, the first freshman to do so since Chuck Webb in 1989 (five consecutive starts).
- The last UT tailback to have five straight 100-yard rushing games was Jay Graham, who hit the century mark in each of the final nine games of the 1995 season.
- Ainge completed all five of his passes on the first drive for 78 yards, including a 50-yard TD strike to Robert Meachem.
- Ainge threw two TD passes for the first time this season. The last time he threw multiple TD passes was last season at South Carolina when he tossed three.
- Ainge's TD strikes of 50 and 32 yards were his longest two completions of the season.
- Ainge's 17 completions were a season-high and tied his career-high. He previously completed 17 passes in the 2004 regular-season game vs. Auburn. He completed his first six passes today.
- Junior WR Jayson Swain has the most receiving yards of any current Vol receiver with 1,033 yards. He had one reception for 23 yards versus Kentucky.
- Senior WR Chris Hannon hauled in a 32-yard TD pass in the second quarter for his 12th career TD. For the game Hannon hauled in two passes for 29 yards.
- Sophomore WR Robert Meachem's 50-yard TD catch was his longest reception of the year and his second TD of the season. For the game he had three catches for 70 yards. Last season Meachem had five catches for 153 yards and one TD against Kentucky.
- True freshman WR Austin Rogers had his first career rush in the fourth quarter, running around left end for a gain of 26.
- Senior DE Parys Haralson had four TFLS, two sacks and two forced fumbles today. He finishes his career in third place on UT's all-time career TFL (excluding sacks) list with 25.5. His 21 career sacks place him fifth on the Vols' all-time chart, and his 46.5 total TFLs are good enough for third all-time in UT history.
- Entering this week, the Vols led the SEC in opponents' fourth-down conversion percentage, limiting their foes to a 28.6-percent success rate. Kentucky was 0-for-2 on fourth downs today.
- DB Antwan Stewart had his first career forced fumble in the third quarter. Stewart led the Vols in tackles for the second straight week with nine stops today.
- The Vols ended Kentucky's first possession of the third quarter when Haralson forced a fumble (his fourth career forced fumble) that was recovered by senior LB Kevin Simon (his first recovery this season and the second of his career).
- Junior DT Justin Harrell intercepted a UK pass in the third quarter and returned it seven yards for his first career TD. Harrell initially batted the pass at the line of scrimmage, the ball bounced off Wildcats QB Curtis Pulley, and Harrell then caught the ball. Harrell also forced a fumble (third of his career) in the fourth quarter.
- Sophomore DB Jonathan Hefney intercepted his team-leading third pass of the season in the fourth quarter.
- True freshman DB Demetrice Morley intercepted his first career pass in the fourth quarter.
- Junior DT Turk McBride had two sacks.
- Sophomore DB Roshaun Fellows tied a career-high with seven tackles. Junior LB Marvin Mitchell recorded a career-high five stops, and sophomore LB Ryan Karl improved his career-high in tackles to four.
- Sophomore FB David Holbert made his career first start.
- The Vols have scored first in just three games this season (UAB, Mississippi and Kentucky).
- PK James Wilhoit connected on field goals of 31 and 40 yards to extend his streak of consecutive made FGs to eight. He has made 11 of his last 12 FG attempts.
- Tennessee intercepted a season-high three passes today.
- The Vols scored a TD on their opening drive for only the second time this season. Tennessee also scored a TD on its opening possession against Mississippi.
- Tennessee's 17 first-half points tied for the most for the Vols have scored in a game this season. UT also scored 17 first-half points against Mississippi and UAB. Tennessee's 24 second-half points against LSU marked its most productive half all season.
