Saturday's Basketball Scrimmage Open To The Public

The Tennessee basketball team will host an intra-squad scrimmage that is open to the public Saturday, Oct. 23, at Thompson-Boling Arena before the football game against Alabama. The scrimmage, which is the Vols' first since practice started Oct. 16, will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will conclude at noon.
Tennessee returns all five starters and a total of nine letterwinners from last year's team that received a postseason invitation for the second consecutive year. The Vols return their top four scorers and at least 78 percent of every statistical category from last season's team. A surprising 88.1 percent of UT's scoring and 85.5 percent of the Vols' rebounding is back from a year ago.
UT will open its season Nov. 5 when the Vols host Tusculum in an exhibition game.
