Zach Stovall

Zach Stovall joined the Tennessee baseball staff as the Director of Analytics prior to the 2024 season after spending the previous three years in a player development role with the Texas Rangers organization.
Prior to working with the Rangers, Stovall spent three seasons (2018-2020) as a video manager for the Vols' baseball program while he was a student at UT.
In his new role, Stovall will oversee all analytical resources and contribute to player development with insights and feedback stemming from data created via the various analytics and stat programs utilized by the program such as Trackman, Yakkertech and others. Stovall will be in daily communication with the coaching staff and players to integrate said data into development plans.
While with the Rangers organization, Stovall spent the 2021 season in Low-A Down East and 2022-2023 seasons in AAA Round Rock, where he worked with the coaching staffs of the affiliates by developing daily scouting reports and working on analytical projects. During his time in professional baseball, Stovall contributed to the development process of 47 MLB players, including Cy Young Award Winner Dallas Keuchel. He also helped play a part in 17 MLB debuts, including several players on the Texas Rangers 2023 World Series championship team, such as Evan Carter, Josh Jung and Josh Sborz, among others.
Stovall is originally from Huntland, Tennessee, and attended Huntland High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics from the University of Tennessee in 2020.
