Samantha Schipfer joined the University of Tennessee Sports Medicine staff in April 2025 as Assistant Director of Sports Medicine/Rehabilitation Coordinator.

Schipfer comes to Knoxville following a two-year stint as the Rehabilitation Coordinator for football and Associate Athletic Trainer at Wake Forest University. She also completed her Sports Clinical Specialist certification in the summer of 2024.

Prior to her time in Winston-Salem, she spent a year as a physical therapy, sports resident at the University of Miami. Schipfer is also a 2022 graduate from the University of Miami, where she completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Schipfer is a 2019 graduate of the Ohio State University, receiving her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. As an undergraduate student, she assisted with the football, women’s rowing, and the women’s gymnastics teams.
