Matt Kinnick is involved in multiple areas in his role as assistant director of student services. As a learning specialist, he provides individualized support and strategy instruction for student-athletes. He also oversees the day-to-day operation of the eVOLve Academic Mentor Program and co-coordinates the Young Professional Program of graduate assistants and interns. In addition, he co-chairs the Student Employment Committee within Tennessee Tailored.

He received his education from West Virginia State University (WVSU), where he earned a bachelor's degree in general science education (2017) and a master's degree in education - instructional leadership (2018). During his time at WVSU, Kinnick was a member of the football team. He most recently graduated from the University of Tennessee, Martin with a master's degree in business administration (2022), and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree (EdD) in leadership and professional practice from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.

Kinnick is originally from St. Clairsville, Ohio.
