Laura Antonelli joined the University of Tennessee Sports Medicine staff in July 2025 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Football program.
Laura comes to Knoxville following a two-year stint at Wake Forest University, first serving as an Intern Athletic Trainer, then as an Assistant Athletic Trainer during her second year, both with the football team. Prior to her time in Winston-Salem, Laura spent a year with the New York Jets as a Seasonal Athletic Trainer from 2022-2023.
Antonelli completed her Master of Athletic Training at Florida International University in 2022 where she completed rotations with FIU football, FIU women’s basketball, local high schools, and Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute. During her degree program, Laura also gained experience at the Miami Dolphins, first as a summer intern in 2021 then as an immersion student Fall '21- Spring '22. Antonelli earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Exercise & Sport Science from the University of Georgia in 2019.
A native of Cranston, Rhode Island, Laura has been a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2022.
