A native of Vonore, Tennessee, Chelsea Bowlin graduated from the University of Tennessee where she was a member of the cheerleading team from 2010-2013, helping the Vols finish fifth at the UCA College Nationals during her time there. She returned to Rocky Top in 2015 where she served as a volunteer assistant coach for two years and has been overseeing the cheer program since 2018.
In the last five years as head coach, Bowlin’s squads have earned the cheer program its three national championships as well as a second and third-place finish in the Gameday Division and four top-10 finishes in the traditional routine at UCA College Nationals.
Bowlin and her husband Drew reside in Knoxville with their Son, Striker.
