Casi Dailey is in her sixth season at the University of Tennessee as an associate director of sports medicine and has overseen the medical care for the Lady Vol basketball team since June 2020.
Dailey, who had a previous stint at UT from 2008 to 2011 as a graduate assistant and intern, returned to Knoxville from North Carolina State University, where she was employed from 2012-20. During her eight years at NC State, Dailey worked primarily with a women’s hoops program that claimed the 2020 ACC Tournament and posted back-to-back NCAA Sweet 16 appearances in 2018 and 2019. She also assisted the softball team and served as the treasurer for the ACC Sports Medicine Association from 2018-20.
Dailey received her bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2008 from Hope College in Holland, Mich., and became a certified athletic trainer. She then attended UT, where she earned a master's in sport management in 2010.
As a graduate assistant at Tennessee, Dailey worked with the 2009 NCAA champion Lady Vol track & field team as well as the women’s golf and women’s tennis programs. After earning her master’s from Rocky Top, Dailey stayed an additional year as an intern athletic trainer.
Dailey has completed all three of the classes offered by the Kinesio Tape Association International. She is BFR certified through Owens Recovery Science. She is certified in dry needling through IDN. She also has completed the first module of Graston courses. She currently serves as the secretary on the board for the College Athletic Trainers Society.
