Senior Associate Athletics Director Angie Boyd Keck works closely with SEC and NCAA staff as UT's Senior Woman Administrator and also serves as the sport administrator for women’s basketball, men’s and women’s golf and volleyball.
Among her duties, she monitors and directs sports programs in all aspects of operations, budget planning, resource allocation and scheduling. She approves and monitors practice, competitive schedules and NCAA time management legislation as well as advising the director of athletics on all matters concerning assigned sports programs.
Additionally, she manages and facilitates administrative situations associated with those sports, conducts evaluations of assigned coaches and oversees the general conduct of the program, including player/coach relationships, event management, travel conditions and criteria, competitiveness and student-athlete behavior and conduct.
Keck assists with facility renovation and construction designs, fundraising for new facilities and renovations, and she also provides input for marketing plans and promotions for assigned sports.
During the development of Tennessee Athletics' comprehensive five-year strategic plan, Rise Glorious—which was published in July of 2022—Keck chaired the Mission, Vision & Values Committee.
Immediately prior to assuming her current post, she served as an associate AD–most recently for Business & Internal Affairs–from 2008-19. She took on the role of SWA in the summer of 2019.
In the fall of 2019, Keck began a four-year term on the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Committee. She also has served on UT’s exempt staff council, the Work Culture Improvement Team and is a member of Women’s Leaders in College Sports.
She is also on the SEC Championships committee since 2020, which selects sites and oversees SEC Championships.
Keck began her career in intercollegiate administration in 1994-95, when she was the assistant women’s golf coach with the Lady Vols. Prior to her coaching stint, she was a member of the inaugural Tennessee women’s golf team in 1992. Keck (then Angie Boyd) captained the 1993-94 squad to a 13th-place NCAA finish in 1994. She was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in both her years as a player and earned a spot in the Lady Vols Hall of Fame (now the University of Tennessee Athletic Hall of Fame) in the Fall of 2005.
A 1994 graduate of Tennessee, Keck earned her bachelor's degree in Public Administration. In 1997, she received her master's in Sport Administration from UT.
Keck and her husband, Kelly, reside in Dandridge, Tennessee. They have a son, Josh, and a daughter, Sidney.
