Jason Hames

In his first season with the Lady Vols, Jason Hames will serve as the volunteer assistant coach. His primary responsibilities include assisting with the facilitation of practice, editing game video and compiling statistics. The Ft. Lauderdale, Florida native began his coaching career in San Diego, Calif., as a boys and girls varsity coach from 1995-2001. After moving to Maryville, Tenn., Hames was an assistant coach at Division III Maryville College from 2004-06, where he helped guide the Scots to three Great South Athletic Conference championships and an NCAA National Tournament appearance in 2006. Since then, Hames has spent the last three years as the associate director and coach of the 17-1 team for Smoky Mountain Juniors Club. He is now the Director of the K2 volleyball club in Knoxville. Jason and his wife Chris reside in Maryville with their three children, Nicklin, Kayleigh, and Eli.
