Additionally, she serves as the program’s point of contact for the UT Athletics Department in general as well as for compliance, community service, marketing/branding, nutrition, alumni outreach and communication technology. She has served as a member of the Strategic Plan: Student-Athlete Success Working Group and assisted in the department implementation of Teamworks, specifically serving on a TMP/CARA working group.
Greene is active in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), organizing the director of operations sessions at the 2016 & 2017 conventions. She also presented at a roundtable on creative fundraising tips in 2016, served on the director of operations panel at the 2014 convention and participated in the 2016 NCAA Women’s Basketball mock selection exercise.
She also is engaged with the Women’s Leaders in College Sports (formerly NACWAA), attending the Women's Leadership Symposium in 2014 and the Institute for Administrative Advancement in 2016. Other activities worthy of note were being selected to the Teamworks Basketball Leadership Committee (Summer 2019) and possessing a certification in mental health first aid (2018).
Before joining the Lady Vol staff, Greene served from 2017-19 as the director of student-athlete enrichment for the University of North Carolina women's basketball program. She was responsible for a variety of tasks within the program, including community engagement, community outreach, social media oversight, academics, marketing liaison, team building and career development in preparing student-athletes for life beyond basketball.
Prior to that, Greene spent five seasons (2012-17) as a member of the Georgia Tech women's basketball program, joining as an associate director of basketball operations and serving the last four as the director of women's basketball ops. Additionally, she was a member of the department's culture committee and senior staff.
Her first full-time experience in athletics came in event management/operations for UNC (2010-12). She was a gameday manager for Olympic sports and tournament director or co-director for NCAA and ACC Championship events.
A native of Gastonia, N.C., Greene graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in sociology and from the school of journalism and mass communication with a public relations concentration. She earned a Master of Arts in exercise and sport science from UNC with a sport administration specialization in 2010 and added an Ed.D. in global sport leadership at East Tennessee State in May 2024.
Greene served as a manager for the Tar Heels' women's basketball team and was the head manager for three years. During that time, the Tar Heels won four ACC Championships and advanced to the 2006 and 2007 Final Fours. While in graduate school, she was a grad student assistant for the women's team for one season before serving as the graduate intern for the Dean E. Smith Center.
