After serving as a volunteer operations assistant during the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, Devin Gilbert has been promoted to the Tennessee swimming and diving full-time staff, where he will serve as the director of operations, director of swimming & diving Matt Kredich announced Wednesday.
Devin Gilbert began as a manager during January of 2022, where he assisted with various operational tasks of the program through the remainder of the calendar year. In December, Gilbert was promoted to volunteer operations assistant, where he worked more in-depth with the program for the rest of the season and into the offseason. During his time in this role, the men’s and women’s programs both tallied top-ten national finishes for the first time in program history.
“I could not be happier to serve Tennessee swimming and diving as the Director of Operations,” Gilbert said. “The passion from the athletes and staff is palpable, and I’m excited to give my all for Tennessee.”
Gilbert recently earned a master's degree from Tennessee in Kinesiology with a specialization in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior, a degree that he completed in December of 2022. He secured a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Utah Valley University in 2019.
