Vol Profile: Justin Hoggatt
VOL PROFILE: As one of the co-captains this year, how do you plan to keep the team's motivation going?
HOGGATT: "Just encourage them and keep talking to them. Let them know things that will help them improve as swimmers."
VOL PROFILE: What influenced your decision to some to UT?
HOGGATT: "The main thing was the team. When I came here on my visit, the team was great. They all got involved with the recruiting process and they all were friends with you and that's what I liked most about it. Also the coaches here were good."
VOL PROFILE: What's your favorite thing about UT now that you are here?
HOGGATT: "Aside from the team, would be the climate and the surroundings. I like the mountains."
VOL PROFILE: What kind of expectations do you have for the season?
HOGGATT: "I want to help the team as much as I can. I want to win conference. I want to end up with a NCAA championship with our relay and try to get top 5 with our team at NCAA's."
VOL PROFILE: What is your favorite or most memorable moment?
HOGGATT: "After last year's American record setting relay was done, that was kind of exciting and relieving."
VOL PROFILE: Do you have any type of mental preparation you go through before a meet?
HOGGATT: "Nothing really particular other then I always think about my races but I don't really do anything special."
VOL PROFILE: What are your interests outside of swimming?
HOGGATT: "I like to backpack and camp."
VOL PROFILE: What would you like to be remembered for after you graduate?
HOGGATT: "A good contributor with a lot of confidence."
