Thirteen Vols Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll

Thirteen University of Tennessee student-athletes were selected to the 2001 SEC Football Academic Honor Roll announced today by the SEC Office. The UT selections are as follows:
Fullback Will Bartholomew (Nashville, 3.53, Finance), punter Brad Blaylock (Cincinnati, Ohio, 3,22, Sport Management), fullback Andrew Crossley (Talbott, 3.04, Arts and Sciences), tight end John Finlayson (Selmer, 3.67, Agricultural Economics and Business), defensive back Dusty Ishii (Huntingdon Beach, Calif., 3.16, Public Relations), wide receiver Eli Jones (Salem, Mo., 3.58, Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology), placekicker Andy Kerr (Maryville, 3.05, Animal Science), quarterback Joey Mathews (Sevierville, 3.23, Sociology), offensive tackle Will Ofenheusle (Martin, 3.00, Business), defensive end Will Overstreet (Jackson, Miss., 3.46, Finance), kick holder Seth Reagan (Knoxville, 3.47, Finance), linebacker Thomas Stallworth (Lithonia, Ga., 3.13, Sport Management), and linebacker Brian Word (Cleveland, 3.85, Finance).
Bartholomew and Finlayson are four-time selections, while Jones, Mathews and Overstreet are three-time selections. Crossley and Reagan have been named to the squad the past two seasons.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must: 1) have a 3.0 grade point average for either the past year of for their career, 2) be a sophomore or higher in academic classification, and 3) have 24 semester hours countable toward a degree.
