VASF Fund Drive Workers Recognized for Their Accomplishments
June 30, 2004
The VASF Fund Drive recently completed a very successful 2004 Fund Drive. Fund Drive volunteers directly contributed in raising approximately $268,000 in new money and nearly $3.1 million towards the VASF's overall goal. They also played an instrumental role in recruiting over 900 new VASF members.
Gary Rowcliffe of Knoxville was named the 2004 VASF Fund Drive Worker of the Year after raising over $27,000 in new money for the VASF. For his work, Rowcliffe earned a trip for two to the Vols' Bowl Game following the 2004 season.
Terry Higgins of Kingsport won top honors as the 2004 VASF Fund Drive Rookie of the Year. Higgins led all new Fund Drive volunteers with over $8,000 in new money and will receive lunch for two and two passes to a closed football practice.
Other prizes given away at the annual Fund Drive Awards Reception include gift certificates to Tennessee Traditions gift store, tickets and lodging to the 2005 SEC Basketball Tournament, and the most popular prize, an opportunity to run through the "T" with the Vols on VASF Day.
For their work, Fund Drive volunteers receive 1 point towards their VASF ranking for every $1,000 of new money contributed to the VASF.
