Georgia Leads Tennessee 31-29 at Halftime

ATHENS, Ga. - Jonas Hayes hit a 17-foot jumper at the buzzer to give Georgia a 31-29 halftime advantage over Tennessee at the half Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum.
Led by Brandon Crump's 13 points, Tennessee led much of the first half that included eight lead changes and seven lead changes. Rashad Wright led Georgia with 10 points.
The Vols connected on 41 percent (11-of-27) from the field in the first half, while Georgia hit 37 percent (10-of-27). UT holds a 22-14 rebounding edge at the break.
Tennessee's leading scorer, Scooter McFadgon, has just two points at halftime, hitting just 1-of-7 from the field.
Tennessee is looking for its first SEC road win of the season after dropping its first five league road games entering today's play.
