Tennessee Collects Third-Straight Top-5 NCAA Finish

ATLANTA --Â Another impressive week of performances allowed the Tennessee Lady Vols to post their third consecutive top five finish at the NCAA Championships for the first time in program history, finishing fifth overall with 301.5 points.

This marked the ninth-straight top 10 finish at the NCAA Championships. This ties the fourth-best finish in program history, with the Lady Vols finishing in fifth last season. The 301.5-point total is the second-highest point total in program history, behind the 325.5 total from 2013 where the Lady Vols finished third overall.

For the week, Tennessee tallied 16 podium finishes and 17 top 16 finishes. All five UT relays claimed a spot on the podium, led by a silver medal performance in the 400 Medley Relay.

The Lady Vols captured four medals for the week, with three silvers and one bronze. Six swimmers garnered first team All-American honors in individual events, with Desharne Bent-Ashmeil, Camille Spink, and Ella Jansen in multiple events.

Camille Spink took home fifth in the 100 Free for the Lady Vols. It marks the third-straight top ten finish in the event for Spink, who won the bronze last year and took tenth in 2024. It was a busy week for the junior swimmer, who got All-America honors in all her events, including the bronze medal in the 50 Free.

Emily Brown and Ella Jansen closed out their weeks at the NCAA Championships with a pair of First Team All-America honors in the 200 Fly. Brown placed sixth with a time of 1:52.13, with Jansen finishing just behind her in seventh with a 1:52.35. Jansen caps her 2026 NCAAs with four All-America designations, including a pair of fourth place finishes in the 400 IM and 500 Free. For Brown, she collects her first-ever individual First Team All-America honors with her result in the 200 Fly. The sophomore closes out her run at the 2026 NCAA Championships with three top 16 finishes, giving her five in her collegiate career.

The Big Orange closed out the meet with a podium finish in the 400 Free Relay, finishing eighth with a school record time of 3:08.55. Spink led off the race, and was followed by the trio of Emily Armen, Jansen, and Julianna Bocska. The finish marked the third consecutive top eight finish in the relay for Tennessee, with the program taking second in 2025 and fifth in 2024.
