New Benchmark in Fundraising Success Achieved on Rocky Top
August 22, 2025 | General, Tennessee Fund
The Tennessee Fund set a new record with $169.5 million accounted for in FY25.
Tennessee Athletics continues to set new benchmarks in all areas of its department, and the Tennessee Fund has achieved new fundraising records across multiple metrics for the fourth consecutive year.
Â
The Tennessee Fund achieved a record-breaking fundraising total during the 2025 fiscal year (FY25), contributing significantly to the historic $428 million raised by the University of Tennessee Foundation.
Â
The Tennessee Fund raised $169.5 million in FY25, marking the highest year of athletics fundraising in school history. This amount surpassed the previous record of $139.8 million set in FY24.
Â
"In the rapidly evolving landscape of college athletics, growing self-generated revenue has become even more crucial. It plays a vital role in our mission to create the best athletics department in the country," said Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Danny White. "We are experiencing extraordinary success across all 20 sports, and this incredible fundraising achievement reflects the generosity of our phenomenal donors."
Â
Since White's arrival on Rocky Top, fundraising efforts have seen tremendous success. In the past five fiscal years, the Tennessee Fund has grown by over $133 million, with fundraising results jumping from $35.6 million in FY21 to an impressive $169.5 million this year.
Â
This remarkable increase includes an astonishing growth of nearly 118 percent in  the annual fund since FY22, culminating in a record total of $72.4 million set in FY25.
Â
Priority fund contributions tied to tickets and parking are at historic highs as Tennessee Athletics introduced modernized pricing adjustments. In addition, sellouts across several venues propel fundraising numbers in this space. Tennessee sold out of its allotment for season tickets in football, men's basketball, softball and baseball in each of the last two years.
Â
The Shareholders Society, a philanthropic giving group at the leadership level, now has over 950 members. Since its launch in April 2021, the Society has experienced growth of over 650 percent.
Â
For the fourth consecutive year, every full-time member of the Tennessee Athletics Department has made a philanthropic contribution to UT's annual staff giving initiative.
Â
Whether fundraising for innovative capital projects, creating modern amenities, or enhancing seat-based giving, the Tennessee Fund continues to provide Tennessee Athletics with a competitive advantage by generating resources that facilitate strategic investments in student-athletes, coaches, and program infrastructure.
Â
"As we navigate the transformational change in college athletics, we need to be progressive and aggressive in our pursuit of resources," said Deputy Athletics Director/Chief Revenue Officer Brady Hart. "Vol Nation continues to serve as our competitive advantage because they are contributing resources in record numbers, philanthropically and otherwise. Subsequently, our student-athletes and coaches are well-positioned to chase SEC and National Championships. As always, we thank every friend, fan, alum, and season ticket holder for contributing in a way that is both comfortable and meaningful to them. GBO!"
Â
Tennessee is committed to strengthening its championship legacy across all sports, and the ongoing My All Campaign is driving the quest for improved resources to support student-athletes in achieving their academic and competitive objectives.
Â
Since the launch of the My All Campaign by White in the summer of 2021, total fundraising by the Tennessee Fund has surpassed $728 million, outpacing the campaign's initial goal of raising $500 million by the summer of 2026.
