
Katie Taylor Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tennessee senior Katie Taylor has been named to the 2025 SEC Softball Community Service Team. The team looks to highlight athletes from each respective institution who give back to their community in superior service efforts.
Taylor has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service through a variety of local and international projects. She helped provide meals to those in need through a Community Holiday Meal in partnership with Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) and supported athletes with disabilities through the Special Olympics.
A native of Newnan, Georgia, Taylor worked with Girls Inc. on softball programs and participated in the National Girls and Women in Sports Day initiative to promote opportunities for girls in sports. She also helped lead the Emerald Youth Softball Clinic, encouraging skill development and confidence in young athletes.
Internationally, she took part in the VOLeaders trip to South Africa and Botswana, where she served with the Egoli Youth Empowerment Program, Elite Basketball Academy, and Women and Sport Botswana. Across all of these efforts, Taylor has remained focused on making a positive impact through service and sport.
