Migas’ Pole Vault Crown Highlights Saturday Performances For Tennessee Track & Field

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Tennessee freshman Paul Migas secured his first collegiate victory on Saturday as the UT track & field program rounded out its regular indoor season. The rookie from Lake Villa, Illinois, won the men's unseeded pole vault at the Virginia Tech Challenge after clearing an indoor personal-best of 5.28m (17-3.75).
The Lady Vols also earned a pair of top-five finishes in the women's unseeded pole vault in Blacksburg, led by Ellison Colarossi's runner-up result after jumping a new indoor PR of 4.05m (13-3.5). Caroline Weems took fourth in the event, clearing 3.90m (12-9.5).
The Big Orange also made its season debut in the women's distance medley relay at the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Indiana, on Saturday. Kylie Feeney, Kaniya Johnson, Ka'Myya Haywood and Jaylee Wingate finished ninth overall with a time of 11:22.30.
Tennessee kicks off indoor postseason next week in College Station, Texas, at the 2025 SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The conference meet will be a three-day format, running Thursday through Saturday, February 27 through March 1 inside Texas A&M's Fasken Indoor Track & Field facility.
