
Gray Vaults To Razorback Invite Pole Vault Title, New PR

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Tennessee opened the Razorback Invitational with a strong, victorious performance in the men's pole vault and tallied four marks that ranked on the program's all-time top 10 lists for indoor track & field inside the University of Arkansas' Randal Tyson Track Center.
Cade Gray stood out with a first-place finish in the men's pole vault, headlining the Big Orange showing on Friday in Fayetteville. Top performances and personal bests from Day 1 at the Razorback Invitational are highlighted below.
Tennessee concludes the meet Saturday competing in 13 events throughout the course of the day – beginning at 11:20 a.m. ET with the men's 60-meter qualifying and wrapping up at approximately 5:15 p.m. with the women's 4x400-meter relay.

Notables
- Tennessee redshirt junior Cade Gray led the meet off with a victory and personal-best in the men's pole vault, towering over 5.60m (18-4.5) to place first at the meet. His mark tied 2004 Olympic Champion Tim Mack as the No. 3 indoor performer in program history, and he currently ranks fourth in the NCAA and second in the SEC this season.
- Sophomore jumper Grant Campbell logged a significant mark in the men's high jump, clearing an indoor personal-best 2.18m (7-1.75) to place third at the meet. The Maryville native rose to No. 8 on UT's all-time indoor list in the event, and his performance ranks fourth in the SEC this season.
- Junior speedster T'Mars McCallum led the men's sprints with a 20.76 in the 200-meter dash, clocking a new personal best and putting himself ninth in UT history in the event indoors. The mark equals the No. 9 performer on the NCAA list this year.
- On the women's side, sophomore Ka'Myya Haywood stood out on the oval with a time of 2:07.41 in her 800-meter season opener – placing second in her heat and seventh in the field.
- Lady Vol junior Kaniya Johnson won her heat of the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 23.76 seconds to finish 11th in the field with a new season-best.
- In the men's weight throw, rookie standout Aidan Ifkovits heaved a new personal-best of 20.06m (65-9.75) in the second round to finish 10th at the meet and improved his mark as the No. 9 performer in school history. Additionally, his mark ranks first in the country among NCAA Division I true freshmen.
- Tennessee athletes combined to record six indoor personal records on Friday at the Razorback Invitational.
